Landscape, architecture and people of Venice, Italy
I have visited Venice many times, probably 25 in as many years. It never tires me and continues to be inspirational for me. I love it in the sunshine, I love it when it’s atmospheric, I also love it to some extent when it is overcast and raining – So familiar I am that finding somewhere I haven’t been before is becoming increasingly difficult! The magic of the architecture. The sometimes Celadon water [named after a Glaze used in Chinese ceramics] an aqua blue green which gives a very appealing vision along the Grand canal and subsidiary canals. Sometimes though at low water a more gunmetal appearance which is less appealing. The changing light at any time of year is the main ingredient for which I visit often.
